Happy New Year!!

Hello, everyone! What did you do at the close of the year and the start of the year?

First, I ate New Year's Soba and Japanese New Year's cuisine. What do you like  in Japanese New Year's cuisine? I like boiled black beans(黒豆) , mashed sweet potato with sweet chestnuts(栗きんとん) and simmered arrowhead(くわいの煮物). Osechi is the traditional meal only prepared for New Year. All of the ingredients in Osechi are well-meaning because Osechi is eaten to pray for good health and great harvest for a year. For example, boiled black beans is eaten to wish for healthy life.

Second, I did Year-end cleaning with my family. I separate things in my room into necessary things and unnecessary things, and I cleaned my room. It was tiring, but worth doing.

Please tell me your favorite food in Osechi and what you did  at the close of the year and the start of the year!!
