Visiting my old school festival on October 31th and November 1st !!

      I visited my old school festival on October 31th and November 1st. As I wrote my blog before, I belonged  to railroad research club when I was a high school student. Model railroading made by the club members are exhibited in school festival every year. I talked with the junior for the first time in a year, it was very enjoyable. However, exhibition spaces are smaller this year because of COVID-19. Also, To prevent from close contact, each class event was showing their indie movies.

      I ate some food for lunch which is sold by second-year senior high school students. Each class sells one food , and when I was in high school, my class sold chocolate pies. I ate fried noodles, some popcorn, and toasted sandwiches and so on, they all tasted good. There are many people to buy the food every year, so I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes when I was in high school, but there were much fewer people to visit my old school festival this year, so I had to wait only 3 to 4 minutes. It was lucky that I don't have to wait for a long time, but I felt a pity. 

     To prevent the spread of COVID-19, We have to put on a mask when we go to outside, and we have to refrain from traveling a long way. I wanted to make many friends in the Faculty I belong, but the first semester classes are all online, so I don't have many friends now. I hope things return to normal, and I want to go out freely without worrying about infection.

    You really enjoyed visiting your old school festival, nice!
    I didn't go to my old school festival, but I heard that they couldn't sell foods, and there were many, many restrictions...
    I also heard that their school trip was replaced by some recreation.
    I feel so sorry for them...

    Thank you for your comment!! Usually, in my old school festival, choral competition is held and each class displays casino, shooting, and so on. However, most of them were replaced alternative event or cancelled... It was so regrettable. Our school's trip was supposed to trip to Yakushima and Amami-Oshima, but it was also replaced by some recreation. I wish I didn't have to worry about COVID-19 as soon as possible.

      Hello, everyone! What did you do at the close of the year and the start of the year?       First, I ate New Year's Soba and Japanese New Year's cuisine. What do you like  in Japanese New Year's cuisine? I like boiled black beans(黒豆) , mashed sweet potato with sweet chestnuts(栗きんとん) and simmered arrowhead(くわいの煮物). Osechi is the traditional meal only prepared for New Year. All of the ingredients in Osechi are well-meaning because Osechi is eaten to pray for good health and great harvest for a year. For example, boiled black beans is eaten to wish for healthy life.      Second, I did Year-end cleaning with my family. I separate things in my room into necessary things and unnecessary things, and I cleaned my room. It was tiring, but worth doing.      Please tell me your favorite food in Osechi and what you did  at the close of the year and the start of the year!!

What are you studying for the final examination?

      Hello, everyone!! About two weeks are left to the term-end exams. What are you studying for it? I take the exam of programming, the basics the theory of probability, and English. I'm good at English since I was in junior high school, but I have difficulty in programming and the theory of probability.       I've been studying C (a kind of programming language) since last April. At first, it was not so difficult to keep up with,  but since the second semester class, it is hard to do. I have classes of programming after second-year student, so I have to continue to study it!!      The words that appears in the basics the theory of probability are so abstract these days, so it was difficult to grasp the meaning.
