My club activities in my high school days
Today, I'd like to talk about my club in my high school days. I belonged to two club, squash club and railroad research club.
First, do you know squash? Squash is an interior racket sport originated in London, and two players alternately hit a small rubber ball whose inside is hollow. Players can play it regardless of age or gender, and a set of equipment is low-priced, so you can enjoy it easily!! Research by globally well-known magazine says that squash is "the most healthiest sport in the world". Calorie consumption in an hour is said to about 700kcal in normal players, and 1500 kcal in professional players. Compared to other sports, you can get enough exercise effect in a short time, so it can be said that squash is good for busy people today. There are only two schools including my alma mater squash club in Japanese high school (so rare!!) and my squash club members practice every Monday for two hours and I thought it was suited for me, who is not very good at sports. And in summer vacation, we join a three day training camp.
Second, I also belonged to railroad research club. The club members make model railroading, and it is exhibited in school festival and model railroading contest in Tokyo. Many high school students in Japan work so hard to get good awards in this contest in Tokyo. In school festival, not only model railroading , but also pictures of railroad all over Japan by club members is also exhibited!! In summer vacation, all club members travel in Japan . The route of travel is decided by club members and we go to destinations by only local train ,basically. The report of this trip by all club member is also distributed in school festival, and each member writes good reports. I'm not familiar with railroad, but I found looking at model railroading interesting, so I decided to participate in this club.
In both club activities, I made many good friends and get familiar with my seniors and juniors through many activities. I don't belong to any club activities or in university, so I want to make many new friends by joining club activities!!
Hi Hiroike-san...
返信削除Squash is fun! I did a bit of it when I was young.
This is a nice start to your blog. Good-looking paragraphs! I like it!
In this blog, try to write A LOT each week, and make comments on other students' blogs. If you do, your English writing ability will improve!
Sincerely, Joe Lauer
Ah! You did not write anything recently in your blog? WHY?? 😣
